We ontvingen informatie over een mogelijk nieuwe mutatie in Agapornis fischeri.  Deze mutatie tast de vorming van het eumelanine aan. Test paringen moeten in de toekomst meer informatie geven.

We received info on a possible new mutation in Agapornis fischeri. This mutation affects the eumelanine synthesis. Test mating will gives us more info in the near future.

ELSIN (European Lovebird Societies Information Network) werd in 2004 in het leven geroepen.  Deze groep heeft tot taak info uit te wisselen tussen de verschillende bestuurders van de bestaande agapornidenclubs. Deze week werd deze groep verder uitgebreid met  Dr. Alessandro D’Angierri uit Brazilie.  Daardoor staat ELSIN voortaan uit vertegenwoordigers van agapornidenclubs uit Engeland, Spanje, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Slovakije, Italie, Denemarken, Brazilie, Nederland en Belgie.

ELSIN (European Lovebird Societies Information Network) was founded in 2004. Its primary goal is to exchange information between the different directors of the existing Lovebird societies. This week Dr Alessandro D’Angierrie from Brazil joined this group. As a result ELSIN now consists of representatives from Lovebird societies from England, Brazil, Spain, France, Germany, Slovakia, Itally, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium.

There are two (English) articles added on my website.  An article on the DEC nigrigenis (published in the BVA magazine in January 2000) and an article on the violet fischeri (published in the BVA magazine in October 2000).

Nadat ze in 2006 de cursus agaporniden met glans hebben doorstaan starten Adrian Verhoef, Wim Geypen,  Eric Pauwels, Jeff Van de Velde en Lieven Vranckaert op zaterdag 24 februari aanstaande aan hun praktische de opleiding voor BVA keurmeester.  Als ze voor dit gedeelte slagen kunnen ze vanaf september aan de slag.

After they succeeded in the theoretical exam of the BVA course last year, Adrian Verhoef, Wim Geypen, Eric Pauwels, Jeff Van de Velde and Lieven Vranckaert will start on the 24th of February for their practical training as BVA judge.  If they succeeds in this test, they will receive their official licence as BVA judges in September.

Diszmadar magazin in Hungary will publish some of my articles. The first article will be plublished in March. That way they would like to introduce the international terms in their country.

Vanaf maart zal Diszmadar magazin in Hongarije een aantal van mijn artikels publiceren. Op die manier hopen ze in hun land ook de internationale benamingen voor parkietachtige in te voeren.
