Net als de meeste mensen in Belgie gaan we nu enkele weken van ons verlof genieten. Hopelijk valt het weer wat mee.
De emails gaan nu maar wat moeten wachten en telefoons worden al helemaal niet beantwoord. Hopelijk mag ieder van jullie ook genieten van de zomer en laat ons hopen dat ook de zon van de partij zal zijn. Prettig verlof.

Like the most people in Belgium, we will take now some few days off.  So the first weeks we will not be able to answer your emails or phonecalls.   See you all within a few days!

Afgelopen zondag zijn de eerste inschrijvingen voor BVA master 2008 reeds geregistreerd op het tentoonstellingssecretariaat.  Met andere woorden, het aftellen is nu echt begonnen.

From now on it will be possible for foreign organisations to request the English version of my lecture “The Genus Agapornis and their Mutations”. I present this lectures using a Powerpoint presentation. All discussed subjects and mutations are illustrated by exclusive pictures. The lecture takes about 4 hours (break +-30min, depending on the wishes of your organisation). Sinds een tweetal jaren krijgen we regelmatig meldingen van roseicollis die uiterlijk sterk lijken op de slaty mutatie, een autosomaal dominante mutant welke we aantreffen bij o.a. de Agapornis fischeri.  Een aantal kwekers adverteren ook met deze vogels en verschillende liefhebbers komen dan bij ons aankloppen met de terechte vraag of het wel een ‘echte’ slaty is. Momenteel zijn we we aan het werken aan de Italiaanse vertaling van onze website www.agapornis.info.  Deze zal waarschijnlijk rond 1 augustus online zijn.
